To whom: for everyone who is 14 and older, it is useful for professional dancers, ballet dancers, i.e. the persons of which the body permanently suffers the overloads and for the persons which moves a little due to their activity and wants to return harmony to their body without exposing it to the trauma danger.
About the direction.
Pilates – represents a series of exercise purposed to increase the strength of the body, to develop the muscles, to improve the body posture, balance and coordination. Each exercise shall be made with a specific attention in relation to the correct breathing technique and abdominal muscles control. It helps to perform the exercises with a maximal power and efficiency. Pilates elongates and strengths muscles, improve muscles’ elasticity and joints mobility, increases flexibility and improves the state of your spinal column.
The most of the traditional drills provokes appearance of the muscle misbalance: the strong muscles become stronger and the weak muscles, vice versa, become weaker. It is the principal reason of the traumas and chronic diseases in the back. During the Pilates drills your musculature will work in a smooth and balanced manner, providing higher productivity of drills and decreasing the eventual traumas. That is why so many professional sportsmen use Pilates in their training schedule.
In Pilates your muscles will never work till you drop, you will not sweat and feel deeply tired. The drills include exact exercise and special deep breathing. If you do not like the programs, based on concentration, Pilates may seem to be boring for you. But if you would like to strengthen the muscles of the abdominal cavity and pelvis, and to keep a good body posture, to eliminate the aches in the back, Pilates is for you definitely.
The regular drills will help you too feel “Pilates effect”. Thanks to a complex of exercises you will power up you abdominal muscle, come down your shoulders, elongate your neck, lift up your breast and draw up your posture. By the end of the lesson your spine column will be elongated, the abdomen will be powered up, and your body will be free and light. The poses from Pilates will make you feel taller and more sure than it was a year back.
About the tutor.
Daria Vorokhobko.
Education:
Graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography under the Bolshoi Theatre. From 2005 to 2013, she was a ballet dancer at the Bolshoi Theater
In 2010 she graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography in specialty “Ballet Mistress”
In 2015 she graduated from the School and Studio of the Moscow Art Theater, artist of the dramatic theater and cinema (Workshop of Dmitry Brusnikin, 2011-2015)
At present she is an artist in the Workshop of Dmitry Brusnikin, Praktika Theatre.
