Congratulations to all teachers and employees of the IBC, trainers and their parents!
On May 20, a performance of students of the International Ballet Center was held on the stage of the Moscow Drama Theater “Modern”. The whole room was filled with smiles and the scent of flowers. All age groups showed their mastery, the smallest artists have not yet reached 4 years. Spectacular solo and group numbers were shown to the public. The stage design was worthy of the best gala concerts with world stars. Professional ballet costumes were sewn for the evening: fluffy Classical and Romantic tutus, multicolored ribbons, bows and tunics served as additional inspiration for the young women.
Pupils of the IBC approached their first big performance very responsibly. All of them tried to demonstrate the techniques acquired during the training, their individuality, musicality and the expression of dance.
The program included classical variations from the ballet “The Nutcracker”, “Walpurgis Night”, “The Little Humpbacked Horse” and others.
I would like to highlight the performance of Novichikhina Varvara, who performed “The Swan” to the amazing music of Camille Saint-Saens, many spectators paid attention the softness of her hands and sensual expression of the image, convincing reincarnation. Among other performers to be distinguished are Mayor Polina and her dramatic acting skills, as well as Kochetova Elena in her elegant interpretation of Esmeralda. Another performance from that ballet was the emotional dance by Kalina Kalinina in role of the gypse. The students of the 5–7-year-old group – Zotova Anastasia, Kompaniytseva Dayan, Rogozin Nick – created a meaningful and worthy performance “I want to dance” to the music of E. Dog.
Of particular enjoyment were the numbers “Polka”, “Walking in the rain”, “In the fairyland of the elves,” “Pink Waltz”, “Kalinka” and “Stars”.
The slender and romantic ballerinas of the adult group beautifully performed a sophisticated sylphic dance that was complex in technique and design. Their poses smoothly flowed into one another to the music of Chopin, creating a image of philosophical reflection.
However, the main applause went to the IBC child performers, even the most obstinate spectators could not resist their stage charm.
“I thank everyone who shared this festive “exam ”with us. A lot of great work has been done this year, and all the children performed well. It was not by chance that I chose a theater venue; it was important for me to show the transition from the school hall to the big stage. Children felt like real artists, and this is important for their progress. All were very collected and attentive and professionally approached the rehearsals and the performance itself. The students had to change costumes in sheer minutes, remember the dance movements and not get confused in front of a large audience. For many, this concert was the first appearance on the stage, and I hope that they will remember it for life”(E. O. Kaburneeva).
The gala concert was concluded by the general bow of all the participants of the evening and the presentation of diplomas by the Director of the IBC, Elena Kaburneeva.
