The prima ballerina of Russian ballet Ulyana Lopatkina continued the series of evenings dedicated to the brilliant M.M. Plisetskaya.

The International Ballet Center would like to express special gratitude to the Artistic Director of the program Irina Chistyakova for the invitation and for such a thoughtful choice of material. Today was a real feast for the eyes. The audience saw not just individual stories on stage, but a real diary in memory of Maya Plisetskaya.
The first section was occupied by the one-act ballet “Carmen Suite”. I never cease to be surprised by the unique subtleties and aesthetics of the artistic design of this performance and the choreography of Alberto Alonso.
The second section – artists of the Mariinsky, Bolshoi and Mikhailovsky theaters, led by Ulyana, performed fragments from the ballets “The Death of the Rose”, “The Legend of Love”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Don Quixote”, “Stone Flower” and others, and the culmination and final chord was “Swan” by Saint-Saens against the background of a frozen snapshot of the invisibly present, legendary Maya.
