“The Nutcracker” Christmas Exhibition
The International Ballet Centre presents a Christmas exhibition based on ballet “The Nutcracker”. A fairy tale loved by everyone since childhood, accompanied by a large New Year program, will be presented in one of the most beautiful pavilions of Exhibition of Economic Achievements from December 18, 2015 to January 24, 2016.
The exhibition will feature rare ballet sketches “The Nutcracker” by the outstanding Russian engraver and book graphic artist Andrei Kostin, ballet costumes from private collections and a unique collection of rocking horses of the XIX century.
The exhibition is made according to the principle of “disclosure of episodes” – the viewer can be inside the parts of the ballet, and will see the story in bigger volume. A visit to the exhibition will turn into a fascinating journey through the world of fairy tales: through the Stahlbaum house, accompanied by music by P.I. Tchaikovsky, the viewers will find themselves in the fabulous world of Marie’s sleep.
