A student of the IBC in St. Petersburg!
We congratulate our student Anastasia Zotova on her successful performance in the International Choreographers Union project @ ballet_modern_dance “Development and preservation of the classical ballet traditions” held in St. Petersburg. Anastasia obtained a diploma of Laureate II degree, styled on the posters of the Maria Taglioni ballet era.
The project “MariaTaglioni LE PAPILLON” is dedicated to Maria Taglioni – the greatest ballerina of the XIX century, who revealed the real ballet to the world. The participants got acquainted with the life story of this legendary dancer, visited the house where she lived, saw her famous romantic tutu and pointe-shoes, plunging into the beautiful world of the theater.
Besides, qualified participants from the best choreographic schools and colleges of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Minsk, took part in performances dedicated to the great ballerina. The highly professional jury included Lyangolf Zara Davidovna – Honoured Cultural Worker of Russia, choreographer, associate professor of the Department of Choreography, St. Petersburg State Institute of Arts; Victoria Omelnitskaya (Kutepova) – a dancer graduated from the Academy of Russian Ballet named after A. Ya. Vaganova, ballerina in the Mariinsky and Mikhailovsky Theaters, lecturer at the Department of Methods of the Classical Dance Teaching of the Academy of Russian Ballet named after A. Ya. Vaganova.
