Maya Plisetskaya memorial flat
Visiting Maya Plisetskaya, seeing where and how she lived, closely view the interior objects, some cute trinkets – what an incredible opportunity for all ballet lovers!
Recently, our students visited the memorial flat of the great ballerina, heard some interesting stories about her life, saw luxurious costumes in which she performed and her cherished objects.
When Maya Mikhailovna was a child, she moved with her parents to her father’s new job location. In the Norwegian capital Oslo, she saw a tiny ceramic set in a store and she liked it so much that the owner of the store gave it to the future ballerina.
Maya Plisetskaya cherished this gift, so it lasted for decades and passed through many moves. And now one can see it firsthand in the memorial flat – just like so many other objects with not less fascinating stories.
