The Moscow Flower show opens at the Museon art park
On June 29, the grand opening of the international flower festival under the patronage of the Government of Moscow was held at the Museum Museum of Arts. The Honored Artist of Russia Valery Yaremenko hosted the show.
Talented children performed on the stage of the main flowering event of the season, among which were laureates of international competitions, participants of the show “Voice”, “New Wave”, the festival “Sanremo Junior” and the children’s “Eurovision”. Pupils of the International Ballet Center presented two ballet numbers to the public: the children performed the amusing Kalinka, which was loved by the audience, and the older group performed Pizzicato from the Harlequinade ballet.
The official part was presented by the minister of the Moscow government, the head of the Moscow Department of Culture – Kibovsky Alexander Vladimirovich, who read a speech of congratulation on behalf of Moscow Mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, and the president of the VII Moscow Festival of Gardens and Flowers, Karina Lazareva. Together with the director of the Gorky Park, Marina Lyulchuk, the distinguished speakers symbolically cut the scarlet ribbon, inviting everyone to enjoy the green masterpieces of landscape designers and the talented works of the creative patients of the Morozov Children’s Clinical Hospital. Under the strict guidance of professionals, children created amazingly beautiful floral arrangements inside transparent balloons. Each balloon contained its own fragile, sophisticated world of dreams, love and hope.
The Moscow Flower Show festival is open to everyone from June 29 to July 8, 2018. The organizers have prepared a varied program: competitions, master classes, food court, meetings and concerts.
Visitors are invited to join on July 8, the closing day of the festival, when a grand sale of plants will take place as well as a charity auction “Children for Children”. All of the profits will go to help the children of Morozov hospital. We are extremely pleased that the International Ballet Center is involved in this important initiative.
